Pinwheels + Cupcakes.....................

Oh how I love pinwheels, they are so pretty and so much fun!  I ordered our wedding pinwheels from Pinwhirl parties, who also provided us with the pennants.  I spent a whole day hand making the pinwheels because we went with the DIY option! It was intense but well worth the effort!  I would definitely recommend Pinwhirl Parties they were very organised and always prompt in replying to my emails!

The cupcakes were from Kustom Cupcakes, and were on recommendation from my friend Martina, she also had them at my hens night.  They were so delicious, and they were also really prompt and helpful.

Oh Marriage.............

We got all our professional photos yesterday from our wedding photographers Christine & Ruby.  They are absolutely magical!  The photos were on disks with our photos printed on them, in a gorgeous little box wrapped in ribbon.  They even put together an amazing slide show with music.

There are so many photos that it may take some time for me to put together a proper wedding post, but to tide you over you can check Ruby's blog, she has put together an epic post on our wedding!  Seriously these photographers were so wonderful, they are truly lovely happy and fun people and they are also amazingly talented.  I am in awe of their work.

......it's a fun dress!

Kind of outfit posty here, this is on our honeymoon in Bali.  I had to barter for that dress,  I really really was no good at bartering, so I made my husband be in charge of all of that.  He is a good husband. Anyhoo it is a really really fun dress.  The minute we met it challenged me to a badminton game.  It was really keen on going to the beach and playing grip ball and had a great collection of marbles we spent hours playing with together.  What a great dress! So fun!  I am also wearing a sportsgirl hat and shoes from shoe show which although fun did not have the same keen interest in fun activities.

A quick snap from my wedding times a couple of weeks ago, this is me walking down the aisle with my Dad.  I was crying like an idiot, which was to be expected as I always cry like a crazy person at even strangers weddings!!  More wedding photos to come soon, it was truly a magical day of magicalness.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee how excite! I have been so super busy this week it's been crazy, barely a moment to breathe, but still always saving time for party times!  Here are some pinwheels that will be used at the wedding!  Pretty, pretty, will have photos up as soon as I am back from my honeymoon!!  Good day sirs!

Ohhh marriage..............

 

With my wedding less than three weeks away, I really do have weddings on my mind!  Here are my grandparents on their wedding day.  I truly love these photos, her dress and her bridesmaid's dresses are quite spectacular.  And their little bonnets!  I really treasure these photos as sadly I never got to meet them........

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bridal shower.....

 

For my bridal shower/hens night, we all decided to pitch in and build a time machine.  Now it was no easy expedition, but we did succeed!!  As it turns out, the key to time travel is cupcakes!! Yes time machines should be made entirely out of cupcakes!!

So in our new delicious edible time machine we hopped back in time and attended a 50's dance!!

It was wonderful! Martina the key time machine operator oragnised an amazing night 50's styles.

It was so nice to have such a classy event!! No man bit themed memorabillia anywhere! Yayyy!

I also met the lovely Jessie of The Velvet Bow,  I'm not sure because I can't remember much but I think I may have frightened her with my drunken rattiness and country dance moves... Oh dearyyyyy.

The whole night everybody kept telling us we looked like Blair & Serena!! And by everybody I mean one person, but it pretty much made our nights as you could imagine!

engagement ring..............

Invitation Land..............

The beginnings of the invitation to our engagement party.  The details will be written inside the ring... the ring is much like the one that has set up house on my ring finger.  It brought all its camping gear, a sleeping bag and at least 200 years supply of canned food, so I expect it will be living there for a while.

I'm getting Mr Camera fixed this week (fingers crossed, but crossed in such a way that camping gear does not fall to the ground and get lost).  So when he has recovered from his operation, I shall take a picture of the actual engagement ring, because I tell you, the sketch does not do its beauty/magicalness justice.  It was hard to get the shiny shiny and the colours right..or left.

this picture of a wedding dress by Monique L'Huillier has been saved on my computer for awhile, its not at all what I have in mind, but it is a rather whimsical magical picture to look at is it not!?

oh yes marriage marriage it is a wonderful thing, on the subject, does anyone know of any wonderful wedding inspirational type blogs, a few people have suggested bridal magazines, but I really don't think they will be anything like the whimsical fantasy land I imagine for a wedding inside my head.....in fact it probably won't be wedding like at all, but still having a look around can't hurt.....

also new Mr Birdy Bird, it has been a while, bad stompface bad, you must let Mr Bird out of his cage or he gets angered and bitey.
