sunday afternoon sketching.....

Finally got to finish off this sketch I started weeks ago.

No, it is a girl and not a horse, but I have been trying to get back on the horse when it comes to sketching as I haven't been doing it at all for some time now.  I think I lose my creativity a bit unless I keep up with it all the time...hopefully I can get back to it soon.  I do love playing with water colours....

argh blog town, where have you been all my life?  have had a slight break from blogging due to real life dramas.  My grandma has been very very sick, and my mother in law had a serious operation, and there has just been a lot going on and so I've felt rather down.  I can't seem to get myself to blog when I'm feeling sad...

anyhoo I'm hopefully getting back on the giant bloggy unicorn as of today! Huzzah!!

here is a sketchy sketch I did the other day to put on our wall, it is very fun to draw with white ink on a navy surface, so I discovered.

tea cup chain................

made a couple of these recently for mother's day, I have many mothers.....my mum, my mum in law and my step mum in law.. too many mothers on the dance floor....

my mum wore her's as a necklace to her tennis club's high tea! how adorable!

..seriously I own so many, mainly given to me by my lovely grandma...but teacups are oh so very pretty and oh so functional at the storing of hot liquids...here is a card/gift tag I have made for my step mum in law on her day of birth......... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

couldn't get elephants at tea parties out of my head..so sketched this for my lovely niece's birthday on the weekend!

My sister had a baby boy on Monday! Good for her! She looked absolutely amazing after! You would never have guessed she only just had a baby. What a super lady.  This is a picture I drew for baby, on closer inspection it looks like what would happen if a bear and Harry Potter and Where's Wally had a baby....

This is the picture I made as kind of like an engagement card, for an engagement party I will be hitting up this evening.  I'm actually a bridesmaid for it, so it will be fun times I hope! If google translate serves me correctly, then it means the soulmates...naw whimsical.

I'm going to go make myself beautiful now which will take at least a week, so good day sirs, I said good day.

Giant Octopus + Fairy Floss... what more could you want in life??

Late night sketching, had the image of a giant octopus wielding fairy floss in my head, so put it to paper.... Poor Giant Octopus, your fairy floss has become all soggy and ocean salty tasting.  One day you will evolve to land and eat as much delicious fairy floss as you like, or humans, whatever floats your boat!!

ohhh it is the christmas kind.......

Which is the BEST kind!

Yes it is Christmas tomorrow, in case you weren't aware.  I love Christmas because I love festivity! Our tree is all shiny and glorious, with millions of presents for my millions of nieces and nephews underneath it!

  Tomorrow I will be rushing around all day trying to see all the family, but it is going to be SUPER hot, and I am going to swim, like some kind of underwater swimming creature, like a mermaid or an old abandoned shoe.  And I shall surround myself with delicious food and magical drinks!

Weeeeeeeeee I hope everyone in blog town has the best time they have ever had in their entire lives!

I may even posty tomorrow because I bought an especially fun dress to wear, and I have a feeling there are some especially hot shoes under the tree......

lack of inspiration............

I haven't sketched properly in so long that I feel like I have forgotten how to draw.  It is sad, here is a rough attempt at drawing today. Sigh.

Fun fun fun........................

I bought some severely fun pens today!! They are all colourful and finelinery and they are wonderful and you can use them to draw on things.  The options are endless.  Here is my first practice with them.

I think I am coming down with a cold.  How could you Mr Cold, How could you!!??  I do not wish to be sick.  I really have nothing of interest to share with you today.  It is a bit lame isn't it.  Lame lame lame, stop reading this silly blog your eyes scream at you. LOOK AWAY LOOK AWAY.

Sketch I drew for my new baby nephew! First boy so far! How exciting, he is wonderful!  oh babies you can put them in your pocket.

I forgot to scan, but got this photo, and played around with the colours because it was too dark....

wedding invitations....................

finally got my wedding invitations printed up, ended up designing them myself and got them printed at a printer, it saved me around $700 plus!! it is crazy town how much wedding invitation places expect you to pay!

times of very many adventures and strange turns.............

I have been so busy these days, life has been as crazy as some kind of train ride where all the passengers where shoes on their hands and gloves on their feet.   I quit my job,  had to find a new one, found one yesterday... I've been crazy planning this marriage business..... it has been hectic!  Am looking forward to life calming down a bit but I have a feeling it won't.............

pinwheels.......

Super excited about all the pinwheels we ordered for our wedding...they are so pretty and they spin like you wouldnt' believe.  It's going to be magical!  They look something like this sketch I drew....they are white and blue and have our names and the date of the wedding on them....... it is wonderful!

Hello my beloved friends of the Land that is shaped unusually like a blog creature thing!!!

I have missed you for all of the August we have had so far! I have been having adventures aplenty, but alas blog town has never been in my reach.

Right now I am making the most delicious stroganoff known to mankind.  Some girls at work had a  Stroganoff which was basically them both cooking one and then getting judged on whose was the best.  Yes it was a strogan OFF!! GET IT!! DO YOU GET JOKES! Think about it really hard, it is a very clever joke indeed.  It made me laugh for many hours.  Anyway this stroganoff I am making is so delicious that I am a very happy lady indeed.

Just a random sketch from my new shine moleskine courtesy of the lovely Mr Stompface for my birthday.  He is nice most of the time.

Marriage times just keep getting closer and closer, I cant wrap my head around this time moving forward business!

I hope you are all as SPLENDIDLY HAPPY as I imagine a dinosaur who had just discovered a tiny singing scone wearing a beret would be!
